For Equal Opportunities in Lapland Tourism

We are Kristiina Rentola and Jaana Koskinen, two entrepreneurs from Rovaniemi who share a single dream: to make Lapland’s nature accessible to everyone.

Our roots run deep in the land of Lapland.

Our skills complement each other. Our approach to connecting with people with warmth and genuine presence brings us together.

Jaana Koskinen, host of "Sense Lapland"

I am a pioneer of inclusive, equitable, and sustainable tourism in Lapland.

Above all, I love meeting new people. My passion is exceeding my clients' expectations. I provide services in Finnish and English.

I have created a high-quality, and in many ways accessible, hideaway on my family land in Norvajärvi, Rovaniemi.

A place where you and your loved ones can enjoy a completely private and personalized Lapland experience – one that will leave a lasting impression on your heart.

“The moment we stepped into the villa, we felt right at home. The atmosphere was magical! And Jaana is incredibly friendly and helpful.”

Kristiina Rentola, "Sense Lapland" Guide

I am a professional in healthcare and tourism.

I have worked as a certified nursing assistant with older adults, people with dementia, people on the autism spectrum, and people with various disabilities or who have become disabled.

Nature has always been my second home. When I told a client in a wheelchair about a nature excursion I’d just led, and they told me, with tears in their eyes, how much they missed nature – which they hadn’t been able to access since their disability – it hit me. Nature belongs to everyone. Something had to be done about it. I founded my company, Saarni Outdoor, and have been working for years as a nature and wilderness guide for special groups.

I am proud to be able to spread the message of equality in tourism even further, now together with Jaana.

I communicate in Finnish and English, as well as using sign language and picture cards. My clients have told me that my heart is made of pure gold.
