On the "Sense Lapland" adventure tours, we take time to simply be present in the moment.

You can forget about your busy schedule and the daily grind.

Let's experience it, share it, and enjoy it.

Let`s sense the essence of Lapland.

Feel the breeze, the scents, and the stories. Taste the flavors and experience the tranquility of the forest.

The "Sense Lapland" experiences are rewarding for everyone and easy to join. The details of each experience are planned and carried out according to each customer’s individual wishes, needs, and physical abilities.

There are three themed tours: Sensory Forest, Reindeer Moments, and Fishing Trip. We also offer Campfire Dining, which you can enjoy on its own or combine with a tour.

On our excursions, you can experience the real Lapland. You can discover its roots and the magic of nature.

All tours are suitable for people who use assistive devices, have limited mobility, or require sensory or neuro-inclusivity accommodations. A customer’s personal assistant may accompany them on the tour at no additional cost.

The "Sense Lapland" experiences are for anyone who wants to connect with Arctic nature.

    Description of the Sensory Forest:

On the Sensory Forest excursion, you can experience the wellness benefits of nature in your own unique way. Each participant’s personal connection with nature can be strengthened.

A special sensory trail leads you to a forest bath.

Forest bathing means taking a break and relaxing in nature. It can involve, for example, lying on a patch of grass and taking in the elements of nature.

The outing features guided exercises and movements, as well as stories about the forest and the wisdom of nature.

    Description of the Reindeer Moments:

Reindeer Moments offer safe and wonderful moments with reindeer.

Your reindeer experience will be carefully planned to meet your wishes and needs.

You can see reindeer, pet them, and even feed them.

You can also hop on a sleigh and enjoy a leisurely reindeer ride.

Finally, you can listen to stories from the reindeer guide and spend time together at the lean-to, enjoying authentic Lappish treats – both savory and sweet.

    Description of the Fishing Trip:

Your fishing trip in the pristine waters of Lapland will be tailored to your preferences and the season.

In the winter, we go ice fishing on Lake Norvajärvi.

In the summer, we go fishing on Lake Norvajärvi or, if necessary, at the Vikaköngäs recreation area, which has an accessible dock.

Arctic fishing in the tranquility of nature is a relaxing way to spend time together.

Any fish caught can be cooked over a campfire at the end of the trip, and samples can be shared with anyone who’d like to try some.

    Campfire Dining

can be enjoyed as a standalone activity or combined with the experiences described above.

The Campfire Dinner offers a feast of Lapland flavors, authentic Lapland stories, the aroma of smoke, and the warmth of the campfire.

We sit together comfortably on a Lapland-style shelter, with no rush, surrounded by the silence of nature.

The menu can be tailored to your preferences and include, for example, delicious pike soup, reindeer sausage and vegetable sausage, or smoked salmon and blueberry pie, along with coffee brewed over an open fire.

Experience Lapland without barriers.

  • Assistive devices

Wheelchair skis can be attached to your own wheelchair. This allows you to get around in the snow during the winter and even go ice fishing on a frozen lake.

With the help of a mountain bike chair—also known as a snow sled —clients can, with assistance, safely enjoy activities on both snow and ice. When the ground is thawed, it allows access to the forest and even more challenging terrain if there is no accessible route.

  • Communication

Our nature guide, Kristiina, is fluent not only in Finnish and English, but also in plain language, eye-spelling, the alphabet board, supportive signs, picture structures, and basic sign language. Kristiina’s communication style is calm, clear, simple, and attentive.

She addresses each client’s unique needs with solid professional expertise and a warm, caring Lapland heart.

  • Personal assistant and personal assistive devices

The customer's personal assistant may accompany them on the trip at no additional cost.

Customers are also welcome to bring any of their own assistive devices if they wish. We can plan how to use them on the trips together in advance.
